Ideally, children should be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. However, today's family situations often cannot accommodate this idea. The number of school-age children home alone has risen over the last few years. The main factors are thought to be more working parents and single parent households.

The Home Alone Program is designed to provide children 10 yrs of age and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when alone for short periods of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied.
